FAIRFIELD ARABIANS
Nestled in the heart of Pilot
Point, TX is a gorgeous full service facility called White Oaks
Equestrian Center, and home to Fairfield Arabians, (Clare Morrow,
Sport Horses). It is here that all of the students and their
horses learn the art of dressage, and Sport Horse. Trainer and
instructor Clare Morrow was born in England, and raised in Texas
since she moved here with her family in 1980. She has been breaking
and training horses most of her life under the tutalige of her
mother Elizabeth Salmon. Clare has been a professional since
year 2000, and in that time she and her students have won many
Regional and National titles. She is a USDF "L" Graduate,
and Bronze Medalist. She also writes articles on Dressage and
Sport Horse for the British Magazine: "The Arabian Horse
Magazine", and for this publication "Arabian Horse
Today".
Clare says. "I really
enjoy my job instructing the students, and training the horses.
The articles that I write come from my heart and experience
so if they help just one person with their horse then that is
all I can hope for. Sometimes when I meet someone, and when they
find out that I train dressage they say, "Oh, dressage,
that is so hard I could never do that." I tell them that
of course you can! Everyone has to start somewhere, and this
discipline is so much fun if you just give it a try. Plus, it
will really help you learn how to ride more effectively and
why. I ask people sometimes don't you ever wonder 'why' you
placed where you did in a group or halter class? In dressage
and sport horse in hand you get a written score sheet telling
you 'why' which is so helpful to exhibitors so they know what
they need to improve on for next time. I find that some people
who have never experienced 'dressage' seem to be a little intimidated
by the idea of it, but it really is a wonderful discipline.
There are many levels to dressage, and the lower levels are fantastic
for the inexperienced rider or horse.
Our whole group has such a great time at home & at the shows,
and I am so proud of everyone for all of their hard work and
dedication. I want to congratulate everyone for a fantastic show
season this year! From the A shows to the Regional show, great
job guys, and good luck at Sport Horse Nationals!"
Patricia
Seale & Cylent Kysses+++/. Tricia got her first Top Five
this year on Kysses at Sport Horse Regionals in dressage! Congrats
Tricia! 'Kysses' is a very sweet mare with a huge heart, and
works very hard for Tricia and Clare. This mare was also Regional
Champion in H/A Mares ATH with Andrea Daniel showing. Clare showed
her to Regional Champion First Level, Champion H/A Mares, Res.
Champion H/A SHUS, and Res.Champion H/A Show Hack. You show girls!
CGA
Sharay , owned and bred by Patricia Seale made her debut as a
yearling at the A shows this year. She was Res. Champion Mare
at Mayfest out of all of the older mares. She also won her Jackpot
class at Sport Horse Regionals. This H/A Warmblood filly shows
great promise, and has fabulous gaits.
Leslie
Chesnut and BSA Steel Magnolia++/. Leslie bought 'Maggie' in
the spring of 2006, and the two have been working very hard ever
since. Maggie is a wonderful horse, and Leslie a talented rider.
This year they exelled in First and Second Level dressage, and
won USEF Regional Sport Horse Of The Year for 2006. At the 2007
Sport Horse Regional Championships the pair won Champion H/A
Show Hack, Champion First Level AOTR, Champion First Level ATR,
Res. Champion Second Level ATR, Res. Champion H/A SHUS, and

the best of luck.
Andrea
Daniel and TFR Blackout Blues+/. Andrea bought this horse when
he was just a yearling from Twin Fiddles Ranch, and brought him
to Clare at the age of 3 to be put under saddle. That summer,
Clare and Andrea broke 'Blackout' together since Andrea wanted
to be a part of it and learn how it is done. The two were a perfect
match, and have been winning a lot at the shows ever since. This
year the two did very well in first level dressage, and have
their goals set on showing second level in the fall. At Sport
Horse Regionals the two were Res. Champion in First Level AOTR,
Top Five in H/A SHUS ATR, and Top Five in SHSH ATR. Blackout
was also Res. Champion in First Level, and Top Five Second Level
with Clare aboard.
BSA
Ruby Tuesday, owned by Tricia Seale, has also had a great year.
Ruby came to Clare previously as a western horse from Wheeler
Arabians. She seemed to take to dressage like a duck in water,
and has won many classes in hand, under saddle, and in dressage.
At Regionals she was Res. Champion Pure Bred mare, and Top Five
in Training Level with Clare. This mare shows great promise,
and will be going on to Sport Horse Nationals this year to compete
in hand, under saddle, and Training Level Dressage with Clare.
Shai
Halimaar SA, also owned by Tricia Seale, and was bred by Susan
Gilbert. This horse is so sweet and willing. He has fantastic
gaits, and made his debut as a four year old under saddle this
year. At Mayfest he won many dressage classes with scores in
the high sixties to seventies, and seemed to enjoy the whole
showing experience. At Regionals he was Top Five in hand PB Geldings,
and Top Five PB SHUS with Clare. This guy will also be going
to Nationals to compete with Clare in Sport Horse in Hand, SHUS
Junior Horse, and Training Level Dressage.
Mary
Mahler, Aden Uhlir and WA Federalea. Mary Mahler and her student
Aden Uhlir have had a great year with WA Federalea. Aden's family
recently purchased this lovely H/A gelding for Aden, and the
two have been doing very well in dressage and sport horse ever
since. Mary Mahler showed him at Regionals and won Champion
H/A Show Hack, Champion H/A SHUS, Res. Champion Open H/A Geldings,
and Top Five First Level. Aden was Top Five with him in H/A Geldings
ATH, and SHUS ATR.
Kelly
Steck and FC Tornado Proof+/. These two have done very well all
year, and at the Regional show they won Champion Second Level
ATR, Champion PB SH Show Hack ATR, and Top Five Third Level AOTR.
This horse was also ridden by Mary Mahler, and the two won Champion
PB SH Show Hack, Champion Third Level, and Top Five Second Level.
Congrats ladies!
